STUDIO

Teemu Vidgren is a Finnish designer and interior architect based in Riihimäki, Finland. He established his own studio in Riihimäki in 2026, a space dedicated to experimentation, material research, craftsmanship, and small-scale production. His practice spans ceramics, furniture, textiles, and spatial design.

His practice is rooted in Finnish cultural heritage and contemporary craft. He explores the relationship between objects, textiles, furniture, and space through a tactile and material-driven approach. Working primarily with natural materials such as clay, wood, wool, and linen, he develops contemporary works drawing on tradition and material culture.

Teemu Vidgren holds a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture from Aalto University (2022), with a minor in textile design, and a Bachelor’s degree in Design from Turku University of Applied Sciences (2018). After working in the field of architecture as an interior architect, he now focuses full-time on his independent design practice and teaches part-time at Aalto University.

His current practice is supported by a one-year working grant from Suomen Kulttuurirahasto (Finnish Cultural Foundation), a collection development grant from Kalevala Korun Kulttuurisäätiö (Kalevala Koru Cultural Foundation), and a grant from Jussi Eiramon Säätiö (Jussi Eiramo Foundation) for establishing his ceramic studio.

The studio also serves as a place for meetings and the presentation of work. Studio visits are welcome when Teemu is working there, or by prior arrangement.
