Teemu Vidgren is a Finnish designer and interior architect who works with spatial design, textiles and furniture. He has a master's degree in Interior Architecture from Aalto University (2022) and a bachelor's degree in Design from Turku University of Applied Sciences (2018). During his master's studies, he also completed minor studies in textile design.
Aesthetic timelessness, high-quality materials, and serene spatial experience are important values in design for Teemu. His works are a combination of vernacular and modern design, taking inspiration from Finnish nature and traditional houses, but you can also see nuances from Japan and Italy. Natural raw materials and a wide range of techniques make his works versatile and recognizable entities.
Since 2019, Teemu has worked for AW2 architects, focusing mainly on large hospital projects, e.g. Siltasaraala & Ahveniston Sairaala. He also teaches part-time at Aalto University (course: Textiles for interiors and architecture). The jobs offered by the employers are not full-time, so there is also time for his own projects. Teemu is open to cooperation and new projects with suitable clients.
